Lung Cancer Alliance Center of Excellence

The Lung Cancer Alliance, the only national non-profit organization dedicated solely to providing support and advocacy for people living with or at risk for lung cancer, has endorsed the Lung Screening Program at VCU Medical Center and recognized it as a Center of Excellence in lung cancer screening.

Founded in 1995, the mission of the Lung Cancer Alliance is to lead the movement to reverse decades of stigma and neglect by empowering patients, elevating awareness and changing health policy. The vision is to reduce lung cancer mortality by at least 50% by 2020.

The VCU Medical Center Department of Radiology is proud to partner with the Lung Cancer Alliance to battle this terrible disease.
