incidental Pretracheal neck mass identified on Cervical spine Mri, september-october 2011
An 88 year-old female presented with a history of persistent, posterior right sided neck pain. She had a history of a fall 6 years previous. The initial imaging assessment utilized cervical spine radiographs (not shown), which showed an irregular odontoid process and possible basilar invagination. These were followed by a cervical spine MRI (Figures 1-3) and a soft tissue neck CT (Figure 4).
