The Department of Radiology offers patients the option of receiving care at several convenient locations, including the VCU Medical Center and its Stony Point site. A picture archiving and communication system (PACS) creates an information network that distributes images and reports to more than 1,200 computers throughout the VCU Medical Center, immediately after acquisition. Our referring physicians then have simultaneous access to patient exam results at any of our locations, as well as clinics, inpatient units and surgical suites.
