Information for Patients

Patient Radiology encompasses a wide variety of medical imaging techniques, both noninvasive and invasive. It has evolved from a purely diagnostic specialty to one that also provides therapeutic interventions.

The facilities at the Department of Radiology include state-of-the-art imaging and diagnostic technologies and equipment for ultrasonography, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine and interventional neuroradiology, as well as innovative specialty procedures. Our team of expert subspecialty radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians is here to ensure that you receive high-quality care and effective diagnoses.

Our patients also have the choice of visiting one of several convenient locations on VCU’s MCV Campus and at the Stony Point site. Using a picture archiving and communication system (PACS), we are able to share your images and results with our radiologists and your referring physician at any location.
